Energy-intensive processes like brick and block firing, transportation logistics, and raw material extraction are deeply embedded in traditional methods. SMEs also face barriers — from limited access to green tech solutions to the capital required for investment in new plant and process upgrades.
Furthermore, the push for circular economy principles — reuse, recycling, and lower carbon cement alternatives — still faces technological and economic hurdles that demand both innovation and collaboration.
